Cancer Biologist

Company Overview:

Using its proprietary cell-penetrating antibody platform, this fast-growing pharmaceutical company is developing therapies to address previously undruggable targets (KRAS) in oncology and other severe diseases. The company has recently raised significant funding from VC investors and built a solid research team in order to develop a groundbreaking cancer drug targeting KRAS to the benefit of up to 30% of all cancer patients. Our client is looking for an experienced cancer biologist to join them in Daejeon, South Korea to help accelerate the discovery of revolutionary drugs for patients.  

 Job Responsibilities:

• Lead targeted cancer-drug discovery program
• Guide day-to-day research of associate scientists in a team-oriented environment
• Develop deep technical and historical knowledge of drug discovery and apply said knowledge to decision-making and/or process review
• Build a strong collaborative working relationship with a broad range of associates with varied disciplines and responsibilities

Requirements:

• D. with relevant post-doctoral research experience in cancer biology. Industry experience in antibody-drug discovery is preferred, but not required.
• First- or senior-authored publications in top-tier journals
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills in English and Korean

Protein Engineer

Our client is looking for an experienced cancer biologist to join in Daejeon, South Korea to help accelerate the discovery of new groundbreaking drugs for patients.  

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead protein engineering tasks
• Provide biophysical analysis (NMR, X-ray crystallography, etc)
• Develop deep technical and historical knowledge of drug discovery and apply it to decision making and/or process review
• Build a strong collaborative working relationship with a broad range of associates spanning varied disciplines and responsibilities
• Write protocols and data reports, train associates, and assist other technical laboratory staffs

Requirements:

• MS or PhD in protein engineering
• Publications in top tier journals preferred
• Proven ability to prioritize, initiate, and drive projects to completion
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills in English and Korean
